Terms and Conditions
- Taking a vehicle out of State is not permitted. Vehicles can only be driven within the state of rental, otherwise a fine of $1000.00 + $0.75 per mile will be applied.
- Free car delivery and pick-up is at the discretion of the host. The host may charge a reasonable fee for delivery at specified locations such as airports, hotels, or guest’s home address.
- Miles’ limit may be included with the duration of the rental trip. Additional distance fee will be charged if the total miles allowed for the rental is exceeded. This is not applicable for rentals that come with unlimited miles.
- Free cancellation – Cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours before your trip starts.
- Extension request for a booked trip must be made within a reasonable time prior to the end of the trip. It’s at the discretion of the host to approve or deny an extension request.
- Fuel needs to be replaced to the levels of the rental agreement which is given upon delivery. Essentially, fuel is like for like, i.e. if the car is delivered with a full tank, the guest will return it with a full tank. If fuel is not replaced to the correct levels, the host may charge a fee to replenish the fuel.
- Additional protection is offered to guests at the time of rental. Declining this coverage inherently means that a guest is accepting full liability in case there is any damage to the vehicle.
- In the rare case that a guest is involved in an accident, it should be reported to the police immediately. GIMA and the host should also be notified. The host is expected to inspect the car at the start and the end of all trips. Any damage at the end of the trip should be reported to GIMA.
